In my most recent trip to Japan, I picked up these hidden gems from Japanese drug stores. These drug stores sell the holy grail beauty products and everyday items.
First up at the period pain relief heat pads. Btw, im sure that you can buy these online too. Anywho, these pads stick to your clothing and the heat lasts 5-8 hours. I have tested these and they last approx 6 hours and they do provide pain relief. These cost around £5, which is totally worth it for a pack of 5.
I know what you’re thinking… giant period pad! Don’t be put off because these bad boys do work & they are super slim. These are best to be used for when you’re on the go, and cannot use a hot water bottle.
Next up are the cooling muscle patches. I purchased these again from the drug stores. I am a shoppoholic when in Japan, and so my legs hurt from the walking/shopping etc. Once applied to the area i.e leg muscles, they cool down the muscle. These cost under £10. Tried and tested ✅
Last, but at no means least are Japanese vitamins. The time difference between Japan and the UK is 8 hours, and you know what that means… dreaded jet lag. My god I suffer bad from it.
The Japanese take these types of pills to stop hangovers. They are supposed to eliminate all signs of a hangover (e.g sickness, tiredness etc) if taken ahead of a drinking sesh. Anywho, I took these and they provided great relief for my jet lag. Ok, it wasn’t just jet lag, was for hangovers too. It’s likely that these are a placebo, but I don’t care. As long as it eases the jet lag, it’s all that matters to me. These cost around £15 for the bottle of 48 from the drug stores.
